巨大市场。据IDC和CGPA的《2004年度中国游戏产业报告》统计，2004年网络游戏出版市场实际销售收入为24.7亿元人民币（合3.05亿美元），预计2005年为34.9亿人民币（合4.3亿美元）；但与此同时，美国摩根斯坦利公司2005年中发布的《全球互动娱乐报告》显示，仅2004年全球游戏市场销售收入即高达310亿美元；而在次世代主机发布之后，次世代游戏的制作和发行将会出现新一轮井喷，预计2005年还将有10%的增长，达341亿美元之巨。

<P>it depends how you see it.</P><P>my view: he quit a job which he thinks he doesnt get paid enough, and it was noway anywhere near 1 million english pounds, more likely 100,000 . he choose to start his own gaming company, and the best place to start one is china - shanghai.</P><P>Why? modern city with cheap rent, cheap maintainance, away from competition, and european regulations and possibly less tax too. </P><P>oh yeah, and cheap shanghai sluts too :)</P>
