mbo is three. Second,
any given move can be used to take away stars only once per combo.
Both players recover one missing star at the beginning of each round. You'll
also recover a star if your opponent fails to connect with a One-Hit Kill
attack.
Guard Gauge
Next to the star gauge is the guard gauge. This is depleted as you block
attacks. When it reaches zero you'll suffer a guard crush and become
briefly unable to block. Note that this particular gauge doesn't always appear.
