EDDY GORDO
While in the Fifth Iron Fist Tournament to win the money needed to guarantee his mentor's recovery and about to fight Bruce Irvin, Eddy ran into a face he had not expected to be there--the man who had been behind his parents' deaths. In a state of conflict between gaining vengeance and saving his mentor, Eddy found himself unable to properly defend himself against Bruce. As Bruce walked away, the fallen Eddy heard Bruce address the man as "Kazuya Mishima" and refer to rumors about his death.
Shortly after the tournament's end, Eddy became obsessed with finding out what Bruce was talking about. The more he dug into Kazuya's past, the more unbelievable the scenario became. Oaths to a demon? Devil's form? Surviving a drop into a dormant volcano?
Compared to that, the discovery that Kazuya was now head of G Corporation was almost pedestrian. Fueled by long-forgotten, unalloyed rage, Eddy heads into the tournament to get out of Kazuya not just revenge, but also the one thing missing from the records of his parents' deaths--motive.
BRYAN FURY
While hunting down Yoshimitsu, Bryan began to feel remarkably un-infinite, despite what Dr. Boskonovich had upgraded him with. Going into hiding in a G Corporation station abandoned after a Tekkenshu raid under Mishima Heihachi, Bryan tried to find out what was going wrong.
The good news was that he was NOT dying--Boskonovitch's invention was true to that. The bad news was that the infinite engine's influence was definitely transforming the tissues nearest to it, with the effect spreading. He wouldn't die of disease or old age, but his physical strength would wane to "only" fairly above average.
This was not acceptable to Bryan.
At first, Bryan tried to infiltrate G Corporation. However, Mishima Kazuya's "reorganization" had forced Dr. Abel into hiding. More specifically, Abel had defected to the Mishima Zaibatsu. Knowing an opportunity, Bryan wormed his way into Kazama Jin's good graces. He was accepted as a bodyguard alongside Nina Williams. Meanwhile, Abel began preliminary tests on the infinity engine, hoping to figure out how to prevent and reverse the muscle weakening effect.
The Sixth Iron Fist Tournament begins, Bryan able and extremely willing to test out the first of Abel's modifications.
